Organist
Titular organist at Modena Cathedral, defined by critics "The master of the celestial blow", Stefano Pellini embodies the great tradition of the organ literature with a unique talent in communicating the aesthetic experience of sacred music to the audience. From New York to Japan his performance is acclaimed in the most important churches all over the world.
Biography
Born in Modena, graduated in Organ with top marks, he completed the II level training courses in Musical Disciplines (Organ) and Music Teaching, both with honours. Having perfected his skills with L. F. Tagliavini, M. Torrent, A. Marcon, P. Westerbrink, B. Leighton, K. Schnorr, O. Mischiati, M. Imbruno, he carries out an intense concert activity both as a soloist and in various ensembles. He inaugurated restorations of important historical organs, as well as newly developed instruments. He recorded “Riverberi, 900 e oltre” for Elegia Records (judged “excellent” by the magazine “Musica”), and his recordings were broadcast by Vatican Radio. In 2016, a monographic CD dedicated to the music of J. S. Bach was released (judged "exceptional" by the magazine "Musica); a recording on G. F. Händel was released in 2020. Titular organist of the Benedictine Abbey of San Pietro and of the Church of S. Maria delle Assi in Modena - to whose organ he dedicated the CD "Organ music around Via Aemilia" (also rated "excellent" by the magazine "Musica"), since 2022 he has also been organist at the Modena Cathedral; member of the jury in international
organ competitions, he has held over seven hundred concerts in Italy From September 2023 he is titular organist of the Modena Cathedral.
